We’re Laura and Joel Kline. We’ve been picking, accumulating, and curating vintage and antique goods for many years. In 2016 we turned our passion into a business called The Vintastic Company that includes co-operative antique stands, an Etsy Shop, and a vinyl records business.
In 2020 we had an epiphany (honestly, it only took 30 years). Vintage items make excellent gifts! What better thing to buy a friend or family member than a unique vintage item?
We started CoolCatsBuyVintage.com as a curated site to provide guidance for your gift shopping, display ideas, and information on how to make your life better with vintage.
Ok, maybe all this sounds a little too much life coach, self-helpy. But the best messages we receive to our Etsy shop are people who thank us for re-connecting them to a vintage item memory they once had through a person, in their childhood, or as part of a design esthetic.
We doubt that people are writing Teflon frying pan companies in China and thanking them for such a great experience the way they write about vintage cast iron skillets. So we’ve become passionate about connecting you to awesome vintage items.
We live and work in the Hershey, Pennsylvania region of the USA. This gives us access to all types of items including Mid-century Modern, Amish Country, Primitive, and Art Deco.
We have a daughter in technology and music who lives in Philadelphia, a daughter in the fashion industry in Brooklyn NY, and a son who’s still in college. Now each of their bedrooms have become inventory storage rooms!
While we’re passionate about vintage, we’re also passionate about education and customer service. Our Etsy shop features dozens of 5 star reviews and we love to exceed your expectations for working with a small business that basically sells preowned stuff.
